This course is designed for aviation personnel that aims to optimize human performance in aviation.
Course content
This training course will include the following topics:
- Aviation Human Factors, management and the organization
- ICAO Human Performance Principles, Human performance in aviation operations
- Everyday factors affecting human performance
- Fatigue and stress and how to manage them
- Human information processing and operational decision-making
- Human Threat and Error Management (TEM) in flight operations, air traffic control operations;
- Investigation of Human Factor incidents; How to develop robust Human Factor incident closure actions
- Resource management training in air traffic control
- Practical application of Human Factors principles and model
What you will learn
On completion of this course you will be able to:
- Understand Human Factors limitations and how they affect human performance a day to day environment
- Develop and explore approaches to the understanding of Human Factors into key areas of aviation operations
- Apply operational Human Factors knowledge to safety investigation activities
- Putting into practice the practical assessment and management of Human Performance
