This course is designed for aviation personnel that aims to optimize human performance in aviation. Course content This training course will include the following topics:
  1. Aviation Human Factors, management and the organization
  2. ICAO Human Performance Principles, Human performance in aviation operations
  3. Everyday factors affecting human performance
  4. Fatigue and stress and how to manage them
  5. Human information processing and operational decision-making
  6. Human Threat and Error Management (TEM) in flight operations, air traffic control operations;
  7. Investigation of Human Factor incidents; How to develop robust Human Factor incident closure actions
  8. Resource management training in air traffic control
  9. Practical application of Human Factors principles and model
What you will learn On completion of this course you will be able to:
  • Understand Human Factors limitations and how they affect human performance a day to day environment
  • Develop and explore approaches to the understanding of Human Factors into key areas of aviation operations
  • Apply operational Human Factors knowledge to safety investigation activities
  • Putting into practice the practical assessment and management of Human Performance

Withdrawals
I understand that if I withdraw my enrolment prior during the withdrawal period referenced below the following refunds will be given in accordance with the Education and Training Act 2020 (New Zealand):

For courses of more than two days but under five weeks Up to the end of two calendar days of the course commencing 50% of the course fee
For courses of five weeks or more but less than three months Up to the end of five calendar days of the course commencing 75% of the course fee
