Meet Adam Peng – Junior Test Specialist in the Products team at Airways International, based in our Christchurch office. In this Q&A with Adam, he shares a little about himself and what excites him about working for Airways International and in the aviation industry.
Being part of the TotalControl team, I get to contribute to innovative simulation technology. This technology supports air traffic controller training worldwide. There’s a great sense of purpose in what we do, I also really value the experienced and supportive people around me. Our team includes individuals from diverse countries, cultures, and professional backgrounds. As a result, we bring a wide range of perspectives and makes every day a chance to learn something new.
I was drawn to Airways International for its global reputation in air traffic management and simulation. I was drawn to the role because it perfectly aligned with my passion for technology, quality assurance, and aviation. Most importantly, the opportunity to work in a company where my work would contribute to real-world outcomes was incredibly appealing.

No matter if your passion lies in technical development, operational roles, or system support, building a strong foundation in problem-solving and communication is essential.
Seeing our work go live. Knowing that it would be used in air traffic controller training around the world was a very rewarding moment.
In my free time, I enjoy playing football with friends, colleagues, and travellers from around the world who are passing through New Zealand. I also love going hiking with my wife and taking in the amazing nature this country has to offer. In addition, discovering new food and coffee spots across the country is great too. And whenever we get the chance, we love travelling to new countries to experience different cultures, cuisines, and landscapes.
