You might recognise Ashleigh Bindon from some recent social media posts, who is officially Airways New Zealand’s newest, and youngest air traffic controller.

On Monday 29 April, Airways International’s Christchurch Training Centre welcomed the latest cohort of trainees on board for our Air Traffic Services (ATS) training programme.

Applications are now open for the next intake of Airways International’s Air Traffic Control (ATC) training programme, starting in October 2024 in our training centre in Christchurch.

Airways International has been selected by Croatia Control to deliver a TotalControl tower simulation solution, for use by Croatian air traffic controllers.

Airways International will shortly be training air traffic controllers from Australia in our Christchurch, NZ training facilities, as part of a contract with Airservices Australia.

This year Airways Training is celebrating 25 years of delivering competency based air traffic services training to ANSPs globally.

Students from the General Civil Aviation Authority in the UAE have completed the first remote delivery of 051 ATS Licensing Subjects training through the AKO virtual training academy.

ATC students from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia have been training with Airways since 2010. Around 170 GACA students have completed Airways’ two-year training programme.
