Experts in Procedure Design

Aeropath is the largest commercial procedure design organisation in Asia Pacific, with decades of design experience throughout the region. Our highly experienced procedure designers work with state regulators, ANSPs, airlines and airport authorities to design, verify, and maintain reliable, state-of-the-art flight procedures and solutions.

All Aeropath procedure designers are trained to the highest international standards.  We operate in a variety of regulatory environments and the terrain we encounter is varied and challenging.

We have received ICAO recognition for Performance Based Navigation and conventional flight procedures, and our practices are aligned with the latest Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs). Aeropath’s New Zealand Part 173 certification to design flight procedures is recognised in multiple jurisdictions, and we are a contributing member of the ICAO Instrument Flight Procedures Panel (IFPP).

Aeropath's Procedure Design team was the world's first design organisation to receive ICAO recognition for PBN compliance, built on decades of experience throughout Asia Pacific.

Performance-based Navigation

Aeropath has introduced Performance Based Navigation (PBN) procedures into some of the most challenging airspace environments in the world, across Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.

PBN is helping the global aviation community reduce aviation congestion, conserve fuel, protect the environment, reduce the impact of aircraft noise and maintain reliable, all-weather operations, even at the most challenging airports. It provides operators with greater flexibility and better operating returns while increasing the safety of regional and national airspace systems.

Proven leaders in PBN implementation, Aeropath’s experts cover the broad subject areas including:

  • PBN Concept of Operations (What is PBN, advantages, prioritisation, definitions, navigation specifications, PBN stage selection)
  • PBN consultation (stakeholders, local issues, flow management, communication, VFR integration, noise/environmental considerations, scoping, airline perspectives)
  • PBN design (nav specs and separations, PBN procedure development, SID/STAR development, lateral separations, concept design, performance benchmarking, scoping)
  • PBN implementation (stakeholders, regulatory issues, training, PBN SID/STAR concept, lateral separations, follow up, airspace, documentation, maintenance, key lessons).
