Want to learn more about air traffic services (ATS) training with Airways International, and ask any burning questions?
We’d love you to join us at one of our upcoming virtual info sessions for the ATS training programme. You’ll learn all about the training, the application and selection process, and what you can expect in the role of an air traffic controller and flight service officer.

- Tuesday 13 October 2026 at 6pm
- Monday 19 October 2026 at 6pm.
These are free virtual events via Microsoft Teams. Make sure to have all your burning questions on hand – there will be an in-depth Q&A at the end.

Hear from our expert
Kelly de Lambert leads the Airways Training academy and is responsible for the design and delivery of all ATS training programmes. Kelly oversees the ATS training pathway for academy trainees, from curriculum design to assessment – with a focus on competency-based training, interactive learning resources and quality assurance.
Applications open for 2027
We are now accepting applications for ATS training programmes commencing in 2027.
PLEASE NOTE: Applications for our courses starting in January and April 2027 close at 5pm on Sunday 25 October.
If you have applied and haven’t received an email from Airways Training Admin, please check your junk mail.
This training is for New Zealand citizens and permanent residents, and Australian citizens only. Students will complete New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) approved qualifications.
